We are so excited to say that we have 5 competitors who will be advancing to the International Axe Throwing Championships and representing Valhalla!
The list is officially out and I want to start out by saying that every single one of you did an amazing job throwing! I was comparing stats today and Valhalla has some of the strongest competitors on the board. I am so proud of all of our players from all of our locations!
First of all- can we get a round of applause for Hella (Danielle)- the HIGHEST SCORING COMPETITOR out of all of Valhalla and one of the highest scoring competitors in the IATF! Great job! 👏
Second- Can we also get a round of applause for PK who has grown up playing in our Youth League and now he is crushing adults! 👏
Then we have Asperity, Setzer, and Captain, who have always been leaders in our leagues in so many ways, from volunteering to helping new league members learn to throw, You guys are amazing and you all deserve this! 👏
If you are a runner up on this list, make sure to keep your eyes on upcoming posts in here and with the IATF over the next few days as some venues might give up their spots and we could be allotted more spots. There is also the chance that some of our competitors who qualified would unable to attend and would have to give up their spot. If this happens, we will alert you right away.
If you still want to go to Canada and compete, there are still so many options available for you. You can sign up for the Under 55, the Under 65, or the Doubles tournament and there is still the Close but No Cigar tournament with a $1200 prize pool for anyone who made it into round 1 but didn't make it to round 2.
Also, keep an eye out tomorrow because Axe Prom tickets will be going on sale and Axe Prom is an event you don't want to miss. It is the most fun time and I am SOO excited to hear that it is back on this year!
